It’s not long before another victim surfaces, and Sara works along with her ex-husband who also happens to be the Chief of Police to try to track down this sick killer. This is the first of her Grant County series, in which we meet paediatrician and coroner Sarah Linton and her ex husband, Police Chief Jeffrey Tolliver.

The only thing I like about it blindsigghted that it’s about adults and not teens and a ritualistic-ish murder plot would have been great to read about. Music choices, mention of having something on tape, etc. Jeffrey is still very much in love with Sarah, and when she reveals a little of herself to him, he barges in to “Fix” it, rather than reassuring her.

Sara Linton is no Kay Scarpetta and her villain is a mere shadow of the complex, chilling Hannibal Lecter, but—forgiving inept, trivia-cluttered dialogue and manifest lack of firsthand fluency in the medical arena—the offbeat characters and setting are engaging enough to leave readers awaiting a sequel.

Maybe as I grow older I appreciate the fine details, the exquisite style of writing, and the author’s talented way of drawing me completely into the story, but I found myself just as gripped by the plot without any of the tension or pressure to fly through and “move on to the next one”.

She married Jeff Tolliver, the County Sheriff, but divorced him after he slaughteg on her with the town sign painter. The title is a reference to a symptom of belladonna usage; it makes you Blindsighted. There are some ritualistic elements in the violence amongst multiple murders. Some of the scenes were quite gruesome.


This book was voted as our June Book Read by our group ” A Good Thriller” Happy this book was voted as have enjoyed quite a few of Karin Slaughter books, although good to read this book as her debut book karn the introduction of her character Sara Linton. It’s well written, keeps you guessing and keeps to a fast pace with a chilling build up to the end in this powerful story.


The setting and time periods of each story vary blincsighted, ranging from 19th-century Georgia to wartime Leeds. Overall, though, I’m invested enough to read the second book to see slauggter Karin Slaughter takes me next. Where’s the finesse and superb writing that made Pretty Girls so unputdownable?!

Might This is Ms Slaughter’s debut novel so maybe I should cut her some slack.

Starting with Blindsighted 1 on 17th December 15 7 Dec 19, Other books in the series. I started my “slaughterhouse” bookshelf with Pretty Girls and have been hooked ever since. I’m not a soaughter fan of that style, mostly because I spend the first half of the book thinking I’ve missed something. A secret from her past could reveal the psychopath.

I am trying the first in a Lisa Gardner series but so far am having some trouble getting in to it. Blindsighted is a decent series debut.

Maybe she’s holding back – there are at least 6 books in this series, I think. Jeb McGuire is the town pharmacist interested in dating Sara. It’s the skillful development of characters that you can effortlessly connect with, and every action they take makes complete sense to you. This article needs additional citations for verification.

I had blindwighted how good this book was! To sum it all up it was an entertaining, disturbing, exciting, tense, fast-paced, and a quick read with a very satisfying ending.

I know, I know. A bit OTT and I thought she was trying to “shock” readers too much.
